POSITION: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager
Pay: starting at $27 – $30
Job Summary: The PTA works as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the Clinic Manager. The main purpose of a PTA is to assist the CM and physical therapists in helping patients recovering from surgery, illnesses, and injuries to manage pain and to regain movement. Support the CM and physical therapists goal to restore, maintain, and promote not only the patients’ optimal physical function, but their optimal wellness and fitness, and quality of life as it relates to movement and health.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of physical therapy techniques which follow the Clinic Manager’s plan of care for the patients including: therapeutic exercise, functional training, deep soft tissue massage, and physical modalities such as electrotherapy and ultrasound.
- Assist the CM and physical therapists by working with individuals to prevent loss of mobility by implementing fitness and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active life styles.
- Educate patients on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility. Instruct patients and their family members what to do at home after treatment.
- Evaluate the capability of patients to function independently. Observe patients, record strength and muscle performance, and write progress notes.
- Implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.
- Assist the physical therapists in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.
- Help patients with equipment and devices such as walkers, braces or prostheses.
- Consistently stay proactive about remaining current on PT techniques/modalities.
- Enter appropriate and required documentation/notes regarding treatment/progress of patients into the EMR system in a timely manner.
Requirements
- PTAs must graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program and have a State of Oregon licensure
- Strong Ortho background; manual therapy experience is an asset
- Experience in working in an out-patient clinic is preferred
- Solid understanding of the anatomy, physiology, and exercise is required

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Job is physically demanding. PTAs often have to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to move, lift or carry heavy equipment and lift patients/clients or help them turn, stand or walk. Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Motor coordination and manual dexterity to coordinate hands, eyes, and fingers.
- Ability to use hands, fingers, wrists to perform manual therapy 100% of the time.
- Busy outpatient clinic.
Work Hours
- The position of PTA requires much flexibility with hours. Your schedule will be arranged by you and your manager and will be primarily based on the needs of the clinic and patients.
- It is expected that full-time PTAs work around 32-36 hours a week; and part-time 24-32 hours per week.

Work Hours
Rebound clinics are generally open from 7 am–7 pm, Monday–Friday. Front office is often staffed from 6:30 am to 6 pm. Daily schedule may vary within those hours and depending on location.

Description:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist position is responsible for collections as part of the Rebound Billing team. The goal is to maximize reimbursement from insurance plans and collect appropriate amounts from patients on balances due, so all accounts are paid in a timely manner, at the highest level. The position is responsible for keeping AR outstanding days at a minimum.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Correctly post insurance and patient payments as well as rebill claims when appropriate.
- Review EOBs (Explanations of Benefits) from various insurance plans against charges and determine whether payment/allowance is correct
- Responds to incoming calls/written correspondence from patients regarding questions on their accounts and other billing inquires, and provides them with thorough and accurate information in a timely and mutually-satisfactory manner.
- Rebill insurance to collect all monies due, provide additional information where necessary
- Identify past due accounts and perform follow-up procedures to collect monies due
- Contact patients to discuss payment policy and establish payment program as necessary
- Respond to incoming patient calls about their statement and other billing inquiries
- Document all actions and communications clearly in our Accounts Receivable software (RainTree).
- Perform other duties of a similar nature as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma. Prefer Associate’s degree or equivalent of three years of clinical
- AR/administrative experience.
- Ability to read and understand insurance / Medicare guidelines.
- Maintain a working knowledge of insurance regulations and specific coverage for physical therapy.

Job Summary
Our clinic is seeking a Medical Records Support Specialist to help us process patient records. In this role, your tasks will involve scanning documents, following up on Plan of Care requests, document routing, etc. You will also respond to release of information (ROI) requests, logging all requests, authorizations, and releases in our system. As part of this role, you will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to ROI (release of information) requests for medical records
- Validate requests and authorizations for the release of medical information
- Process and follow up on Plan of Care requests
- Document routing
- Confirm VA appointments
- Follow all HIPAA regulations
